Phenix Grupo
Our current project is Phenix Grupo. This project is an oil, orimulsion and ethanol transportation project. A separate Oil, Orimulsion and two ethanol pipes will transport product across the Isthmus of Panama from a deepwater facility on the Atlantic (North Side) of Panama to another deepwater facility on the Pacific (South Side) of Panama. The entire system will consist of a deepwater facility; a sub-oceanic pipe set; a tank complex on the Atlantic coast of Panama; a terrestrial pipeline from the Atlantic Coast to the Pacific Coast; a tank complex on the Pacific Coast of Panama and an sub-oceanic pipe to the deepwater faility on the Pacific side of Panama. Each of the four pipes will carry millions of barrels of its particular product per day from the Super-tankers on the Atlantic Side to the Super-tankers on the Pacific side.
The pipes will be laid under ocean, beneath the coastal plains, over the mountains, under lakes and rivers and down to the coastal plains and the Pacific Ocean. At several points along its path, it will be served by pumping stations. Those stations will be monitored in real time by sensors, Video, audio and human observers. The data collected by the systems will be transported via fiber optic cable to the two data centers, one on the Atlantic Coast and one on the Pacific Coast. Most of the different types of captured data will become part of the pipeline record without much fanfare but those items that are outside of the bounds defined as normal will immediately elicit a response from the headquarters in Clearwater, Florida or in one of the data centers in Panama and an appropriate response will be made based on criteria defined in advance by Grupo de Panama.
The corporate center in Clearwater, Florida will be receiving data in real time based on sorting algorithms designed by our staff to alert the company to any out of the ordinary event. The timing and degree of the response will be a function of preprogrammed and real-time evaluations by Phenix Group Ventures Corp personnel. Every significant piece of equipment required for the construction and for the ongoing support and maintenance of the pipeline will be tracked and managed by a state of the art system developed exclusively for this project. The system will allow us to monitor all vital functions and maintenance intervals for power equipment ranging from backhoes to helicopters and all equipment in between. It will also allow us to restrict the operation of all equipment to only those people who are qualified and who are registered as certified operators of the particular piece of equipment. This security will significantly reduce if not eliminate theft, vandalism and operation by qualified but not certified operators. All activities on any equipment will be tied to a particular operator and this will allow us to track competence, timeliness, skill and performance as well service intervals.
